Really interesting - The best of all your postings. You were very fortunate to have this time to indulge in the life of the mind. Wondering t about Moses Hadas? Doesn't he rank up there among the Olypmpians?

Then there are those who are "famous for being famous", scorned but nevertheless hounded after, like Paris Hilton, soon to be forgotten when beauty fades.

But I guess it will be awhile before we hear " Tiger who ?"

I wonder what Chief Dragonman would have to say on the issue. Sadly, he was never consulted.

Nice. I've been mentioned in both a blog post and a restraining order this week. First time for both. Now I guess I'll have to buy a drink for the first commentor to get all four questions right. Honor system here; no googling.

(Oh, And how long must a patient wait before resuming abnormal sex?)

Very absorbing . It seems like halcyon days when one could play chess in Central park, attended by pets. Come to think of it , I guess they still do. I wonder what the fatal move was that you didn"t see coming.

cookbooks do an excellent impression of something straight forward until the indexer realizes they must balance space restraints with the number of ways someone might look for a recipe called 'Yummy Mocha Delight.'

In fact, I just encountered a cookbook index so useless that no one in Pleasantville would lay claim to it. The book shall remain nameless but suffice to say that if I were indexing "Risotto with Scallops and Peas" - it would appear more than once.
